Application
Abstract Submission Guidelines
The abstract represents a comprehensive oral or poster presentation of original research by the author or advancements in research or psychotherapeutic practice and related practices, along with their contribution to therapeutic approaches and the enhancement of mental health for children, youth, and families. Previously published work should not be submitted unless it updates with new findings, data, or methods. The abstract should include a title (up to 20 words), introduction, aim, method, results, conclusions, and keywords (three to four). The abstract should not exceed 300 words excluding the title and authors. References, tables, or images cannot be included in the abstract.
Abstracts can only be submitted through online registration.
When submitting the abstract, the full name and affiliation of the author and all co-authors should be provided. The author presenting the work is responsible for informing co-authors of the abstract’s acceptance and obtaining a conflict of interest statement from them.
Abstracts can be submitted for various types of presentations:
- Simposium: 3-5 presentations from different psychotherapeutic perspectives, including a guided discussion on a common theme, professional issue, or research question of particular significance (duration 90 minutes, including discussion). Applications for this format must include (1) an abstract representing an overview of the entire session with the appointment of a moderator/discussant, and (2) individual abstracts for each of the short individual papers;
- Oral presentation: Individual presentation in a themed session with chairmanship (15-20 minutes, including discussion);
- Poster: Posters will be displayed, and poster viewing sessions will be organised, allowing congress participants to interact with poster authors;
- Workshop: Experience learning session with active participation of workshop participants. The workshop should be 90 minutes long and follow a common structure: introduction, main activity, and reflective discussion;
- Panel discussion: Structured discussion providing an opportunity for group discussion among colleagues on a specific topic. The structured discussion can be 90 minutes long and involve two to four speakers offering a brief statement on the topic to encourage active participation of audience members. These sessions should be structured in a way that encourages and allows audience participation in the discussion for a significant portion of the time. A moderator/discussant may be chosen;
- Round table: Discussion on various contemporary and/or controversial topics in psychotherapy and related practices.
The Scientific Committee may redistribute submitted presentations among formats.
Notification of abstract acceptance and schedule will be sent to the presenting author along with detailed information and presentation guidelines to the email address used during registration, no later than 30.06.2024.
Authors are solely responsible for the ethical and scientific content presented in the abstracts.
Abstracts should be written in clear Bosnian/Croatian/Serbian or English language with accurate grammar and spelling. Original abstracts will not be proofread; authors are responsible for the linguistic and grammatical correctness of the abstracts. Any linguistic, grammatical, or scientific errors will be published if authors do not correct them.
