SANDRA KUKIC was born in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, in 1971. In 1996, she graduated from the University of Sarajevo with a degree in psychology, and further in systemic family approach within certified programme of European Association for Family Therapy.
Ms. Kukic has over 20 years of experience of professional work in psychosocial programs focused on child, family and community development. In course of her career and professional development has been working in a number of roles that instigated changes across board to provide best service to vulnerable groups, especially children and their families.
Ms. Kukic has extensive experience in topics related to mental health and psychosocial support, trauma healing, child protection, child care and alternative care, prevention and crisis interventions. Professional assignments are focused on programming as well as human resources and organizational development. Ms. Kukic possess more than 10 years of international experience, supporting directly changes in child protection processes and systems in more than 20 countries.
In her professional roles, Ms. Kukic has managed global, regional and national programs focused on child protection, assessing quality of child protection system and coordinating and managing initiatives and programs aimed at improvements in the field. Currently working as a consultant to UNICEF BiH.
